Bottom line: 4.7 changes healing items, reloads and vehicle cameras in Classic. It also adds a Norse "Ancient Beast" themed mode with Glyph skills and a flying Aurora Pegasus, an Erangel Subzero spin-off, and a PvE map called Seal City for Metro Royale. It goes live on 12 November (official post). The beta is worth joining if you have an Android phone, about 1.4 GB of free space for the download, and want to try Subzero and Seal City three weeks early. Skip it if you only care about the live game: the beta is a separate app (com.tencent.igce) with its own client.

At a glance
- Four betas: 23 Sep, 10 Oct, 15 Oct, and 23–25 Oct (Beta 4) (schedule).
- Official numbers we found: Med Kit weight drops from 20 to 15 and use time from 8 s to 6 s. Bandage healing rises from 10 to 12. These come from the official Beta 2 reveal video. The text notices give no numbers.
- The APK that "grew 300 MB": going from 4.7.2 to 4.7.3, it grew 322.7 MiB. Nearly all of that is 64-bit code plus one resource pak. 4.7.2's smaller, 32-bit-only variant has neither. Compared like for like, 4.7.3 is 325.9 MiB smaller than 4.7.2. We downloaded and unpacked all five builds to check.
- No weapon stat changes appear in any 4.7 beta notice.
Beta 1 vs Beta 2 vs Beta 3: the side-by-side

Sources: Beta 1 notice, Beta 2 notice, Beta 3 notice. These are mirrors of the official in-game announcements. Beta 3 summary also at JollyMax.

Each notice was bigger than the last. Beta 3's growth is mostly Metro Royale (52 lines). Method: we counted ●/✧/➢ bullet lines per section in each official notice.
Beta 1 (23 Sep): Classic gets lighter healing
Beta 1 only touched Classic mode (notice).

Beta 1 banner: "Improved vehicles, reloading, and consumables, plus new Battle Ready Kit". The Beta 2 notice page reuses a near-identical "Beta 1" banner. © KRAFTON, Inc. / Level Infinite.
- Consumables: Med Kit weighs less and is faster to use. Adrenaline Syringe and Painkillers weigh less. Bandages heal more and are faster to use. Energy and Health now recover in shorter intervals, but the total is the same.
- Battle Ready Kit (Erangel): fully restores Health and Energy. You can dig one up using the Wireless Coordinate Indicator, buy one in the Supply Shop, or find one in air drops or on the ground (low chance).
- Vehicle camera: less shake when aiming down sights from a vehicle, and recoil goes in a more realistic direction. The camera no longer clips into the terrain when a vehicle rolls over.
- Staged reload: if an empty reload is interrupted after the magazine swap, the next reload only needs to chamber a round.
The notice gives no numbers. The official Beta 2 reveal video does. Its last three seconds show a V4.6 → V4.7 card:

| Item | Stat | V4.6 | V4.7 beta | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Med Kit | Weight | 20 | 15 | −25% |
| Med Kit | Use time | 8 s | 6 s | −25% |
| Bandage | Heal | 10 | 12 | +20% |
| Bandage | Use time | 4 s | 3 s | −25% |
| Adrenaline Syringe | Weight | 20 | 10 | −50% |
| Painkiller | Weight | 10 | 6 | −40% |

Chart built from the official card above.
What this means in practice: two Adrenaline Syringes now weigh what one did. The heal-tick interval change has no published number. We did not test it in-game.
The same video also shows the Supply Shop with a NEW-tagged consumable priced at 10, limited to 3. Its name isn't shown, so we can't confirm it's the Battle Ready Kit (unverified).
Beta 2 (10 Oct): Glyphs, Pegasus, Canted Foregrip, Subzero
Themed mode: Glyph skills and Aurora Flashstep
Everyone gets Aurora Flashstep, a double jump plus a short dash, usable anywhere on the map (notice).
Each player also starts with a random Glyph passive skill, at Lv 1–3. You can't upgrade a Glyph during the match. Glyph Altars reroll it. If you're carrying two Glyphs when eliminated, one drops at random in your crate.
| Glyph | What it does (higher level = stronger) |
|---|---|
| Tactical Shield | Auto-shield at low Health; small shield when downed |
| Faster Healing | Faster consumables and revives |
| Quick Reload | Faster reload and weapon switch |
| Supply Detection | Picking up supplies scans for high-quality loot nearby |
| Armor Repair | Moving restores armor durability |
| Air Drop Prediction | Shows where an air drop will land, before it lands |
Aurora Pegasus
The Pegasus is a ground and air mount. You can summon it, recall it, or leave it on the map. Double-jump to take off, then hover or flap to climb. Its flight changes inside the Aurora Zone.

Canted Foregrip
Beta 2 adds a Canted Foregrip attachment. No stats were published. The reveal video only shows it being picked up.

Erangel Subzero ("coming soon")
Beta 2 announced Subzero as a Classic spin-off, but it was not yet playable. In the story, crashed Tythonic satellites freeze parts of Erangel: Stalber, Shelter, Sosnovka Military Base and the Boatyard. Some water freezes over. The bridge to Military Base partly collapses.
- Weather: 4 dynamic types. The map is always clear at landing and in the final zone. Blizzards cut visibility and slightly slow players.
- Satellite crashes: 4 per match, with small Blue Zone devices. Some may carry the Thermal Protection Suit.
- Frozen doors and windows: you have to break them to get through. You can also freeze doors yourself with a Liquid Nitrogen Tank.
- Snow piles: vehicles can destroy them, unless they've been frozen. They regrow during blizzards.
- New items: Liquid Nitrogen Tank (replaces the Molotov: hits faster, deals less damage, slows you). Thermal Protection Suit (Blue Zone immunity that drains durability; uses the Ghillie slot). BZ Grenade (spawns a small Blue Zone). Snow Mist smoke ammo for the Grenade Launcher. Snowboard.
- Vehicles and weapons: Snowmobile, Snowbike, G36C. Vehicles get anti-skid tires.

Subzero: frozen house and BZ Grenade. Clip: official Beta 2 Reveal, 0:30–0:34. © KRAFTON, Inc. / Level Infinite.
"Erangel: Subzero" is also the name of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (PC) content from Update 39.1 in December 2025. That version also had crashed satellites, a freezing Blue Zone and the BZ Grenade (KRAFTON press release, 4 Dec 2025). The PC press release doesn't mention a Thermal Protection Suit or Liquid Nitrogen Tank. We have not compared the full PC patch notes.

Beta 3 (15 Oct): the Ancient Beast and Seal City
Themed mode rebuilt around the Ancient Beast
Pochinki, Rozhok and Mansion get major Nordic-style redesigns (notice).
- Sealing ground: shoot the Beast's head to expose the Glyph Tower. Activate its altar to chain the Beast and earn the Hero's Medal.
- Inside the Beast: once it's sealed, everyone can enter through its mouth. PvP is off inside. Hero's Medal holders get the Aurora Pegasus; everyone else gets normal rewards.
- Tail: sound the horn and the tail raises a submerged tower you can explore.
- Body: body parts block caves; shoot them to clear the way. Breaking the shell drops supplies. Some parts move and act as platforms.
- Aurora Realm: eliminated players can earn a return to the match.

What changed from Beta 2: Glyphs are now granted based on the Power Feathers you hold, and you earn feathers by chasing light orbs near the Beast. The Pegasus moved from a random start-of-match drop to a reward for sealing the Beast.
Metro Royale: Seal City
- Map: 1.8×1.8, an autumn coastal town after a zombie outbreak. It has a day/night cycle and enemy dormancy.
- Bosses: Reaper Scorpion, Aberrant Vine, Wasteland Scavenger, and a night-only giant whose name isn't revealed.
- Items: Scream Grenade (lures PvE enemies away from you). Stealth Serum (PvE enemies ignore you for a while).
- Systems: Talent Tree (3 trees), Gallery, Equipment Vouchers, item-by-item looting, two-column backpack.

The map select screen labels it "METRO ROYALE – UNSEALED", with Seal City tagged PVE. Frame: official Beta 3 Reveal, 0:25. © KRAFTON, Inc. / Level Infinite.

Beta 4 (23–25 Oct): what's teased
The official teaser lists new X-Suit and Gilt sets and a new AI NPC, the Fanged Wolf Spirit (post). It was posted 21 Oct, 08:00 (UTC+8). We have no details on what the NPC does (unverified). The 23–25 Oct dates come from the in-game calendar, as reported by Sportsdunia. As of 21 Oct, no 4.7.4 APK was listed on APKMirror.

Which APK is which, and why 4.7.3 got bigger
We downloaded every 4.7 beta APK listed on APKMirror and unpacked them. In each build, the byte count matches APKMirror's listing exactly. Uptodown's 4.7.3 listing shows the same SHA-256 as our file. All five builds carry the same Tencent signing certificate in META-INF/IPUBGM.RSA.
| Build | Arch | versionCode | Bytes | MiB | Internal file date | Likely beta* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.7.1 | armeabi-v7a | 21590 | 1,047,081,602 | 998.57 | 23 Sep | Beta 1 |
| 4.7.1 | arm64-v8a + v7a | 21595 | 1,724,932,963 | 1,645.02 | 23 Sep | Beta 1 |
| 4.7.2 | armeabi-v7a | 21610 | 1,054,066,010 | 1,005.24 | 1 Oct | Beta 2 |
| 4.7.2 | arm64-v8a + v7a | 21615 | 1,734,178,349 | 1,653.84 | 1 Oct | Beta 2 |
| 4.7.3 | arm64-v8a + v7a | 21635 | 1,392,464,240 | 1,327.96 | 14 Oct | Beta 3 |
*Our inference from the build dates and the beta start dates (23 Sep, 10 Oct, 15 Oct). Nothing official maps APK versions to beta numbers. APKMirror's "MB" are binary megabytes (MiB). Its "1.30 GB" for 4.7.3 is 1.30 GiB.
Why it grew: putting the listed sizes side by side (4.7.2 at "1,005 MB", 4.7.3 at "1.30 GB") compares two different kinds of build. 4.7.2's headline size belongs to its 32-bit-only (armeabi-v7a) variant. 4.7.3 only exists as a 64-bit + 32-bit build.

Each APK holds a 0.92–1.47 GB game-data container (assets/main.obb.png, stored uncompressed) plus native libraries. Measured by Grok Bot on 21 Oct 2026.
| Where the bytes went | 4.7.2 (v7a) → 4.7.3 | 4.7.2 (64-bit) → 4.7.3 |
|---|---|---|
| Total | +322.7 MiB | −325.9 MiB |
res_cachesyspkgdiff…pak (inside the OBB) | +183.2 | −335.4 |
lib/arm64-v8a (64-bit code) | +122.8 | +0.2 |
mini_obb.pak (core game data) | +16.1 | +8.7 |
mini_obbzsdic_obb.pak | +0.5 | +0.5 |
| Everything else | +0.2 | +0.2 |
What the measurements show:
- The "+300 MB" is mostly packaging. 64-bit code adds 122.8 MiB. The "res_cachesyspkgdiff" pak adds 183.2 MiB. The 32-bit-only builds don't include either.
- Like for like, 4.7.3 is lighter. That diff pak shrank from 518.6 MiB to 183.2 MiB.
- Core game data grew steadily. In the 64-bit builds,
mini_obb.pakwent from 785.0 MiB (4.7.1) to 790.7 (4.7.2) to 799.3 (4.7.3). That's +14.3 MiB over three betas. - Code barely moved. The dex files stay at 9.9 MiB. 4.7.3 adds 54 files to 4.7.2 (v7a); 48 of them are 64-bit libraries.
- App label change: in 4.7.3 the app label changed from "BETA PUBG MOBILE" to "BETA PUBGM".
The pak names come from the files. Our reading of "res_cachesyspkgdiff" is that it's a cached resource diff, but that comes from the name only (unverified). We did not try to unpack the paks.
APKMirror's 4.7.3 page lists "Arcade Mode – War", the SLR and the Portable Closet as what's new, "from version 2.9.5". That is old boilerplate copied across releases, not 4.7 content (page).
How to get in
- Android (available now): install the 4.7.3 APK (
com.tencent.igce, Android 5.0+). Official short link:pubgmobile.go.link/PUBGM470BETA. From our server it returned HTTP 404, so it may only resolve on a phone or from inside the apps where it was shared. Mirrors: APKMirror and Uptodown. If you use a mirror, check the SHA-256 against the table in the Method section below. - iOS (not working when we checked): the official download page hands out an iOS install link. On 21 Oct at 16:22 (UTC+8) it pointed to a 4.6 beta build (
iOS_Beta4.6.0-b.4_No4_4.6.4.21450…ipa). That file returned HTTP 404. The page's download check also returns a remaining-slots counter: 783,571, then 783,570 after our second request. Each check seems to use up a slot, so we stopped checking. - Logging in: a binding-code login flow was documented for the 4.3 beta. We could not confirm it applies to 4.7 (unverified).
- Storage: the 4.7.3 APK is 1.39 GB (1,392,464,240 bytes). We didn't install it, so we have no on-device footprint figure. The APK holds a 1.13 GB game-data file that most installs unpack, so plan for more free space than the download size (inference).
What the beta doesn't fix
We searched all three notices. None mentions these open player complaints:
- Auto-glide can't be turned off. It was raised in 4.6 feedback and again.
- 5.56 weapon shake in 4.6 (thread).
- Weapon balance. 4.6 raised ACE32 base damage from 46 to 47 and adjusted stability on the AKM, M762, Honey Badger, Mk47 and Groza (4.6 notes). The 4.7 betas publish no weapon numbers. Claims of Honey Badger or FAMAS rebalances in 4.7 are unconfirmed.
- FPS caps. A player reports the separate PUBG MOBILE FLASH beta locked at 60 FPS on a POCO F7. That is a different app, and we did not test FPS for either app.
Method: what we measured and what we didn't
Measured (21 Oct 2026, from a datacenter server, not a phone):
| File | Bytes | SHA-256 | Time | Throughput |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.7.3 arm64+v7a | 1,392,464,240 | ab12f1c807eccc191a84ff005ca1b8c1b32f45a92413c780c60f297e3e66bcbf | 24.9 s (16:18:28–16:18:53 UTC+8) | 55.9 MB/s |
| 4.7.2 v7a | 1,054,066,010 | 23a0f66594d297b0205acd30fb7986c872cc85fc847b28d229c951fecd7128c5 | 15.9 s | 66.1 MB/s |
| 4.7.1 v7a | 1,047,081,602 | 5518ab2c83efe36b3caf80f23ee6eb8c2c8add1f59dd2f73a325c038fa480b9f | 28.4 s | 36.9 MB/s |
| 4.7.2 arm64+v7a | 1,734,178,349 | 6ba133d3e3afaaf4ac6fb1b609c1ac3cea725f7bd9364bdaa25e345796c31663 | 27.3 s | 63.5 MB/s |
| 4.7.1 arm64+v7a | 1,724,932,963 | f733e16575b73abbfd7dbaae69f1db8ef9b1a8833c0e137e35b946e6fb0b1a4b | 57.9 s | 29.8 MB/s |
- Downloads came from APKMirror's storage via curl. Datacenter speeds say nothing about mobile networks.
- We read sizes with Python
zipfile, for both the APK and the OBB nested inside it. We read versionCode and the label from the manifest. Signing certificates were compared by SHA-256 fingerprint. We did not run fullapksignerverification. - Consumable numbers come from a frame of the official video, not from our own testing.
Not measured: in-game FPS, heal timings, recoil, install size on a phone, or download speed on mobile data. We have no phone with the beta installed. The YouTube versions of the trailers were blocked from our server (bot check), so all clips come from the official X posts.
